Car Check
When buying a second-hand vehicle, there are many things to consider. Especially if you are not a car professional, this can quickly become overwhelming. In addition to the lack of knowledge about the vehicle, what to check where and how, there is the risk of a bad purchase due to undiscovered defects.
The story
About two years ago, a prototype of the application was released. This MVP was available at checkyourcar.ch and was successfully tested on the market. As a result, it was decided to integrate the service into Mobiliar.
The task
The Car Check in its original version was an MVP that was designed "off brand".
After validating the concept and making certain adjustments in the process flow, the idea was to redesign the Car Checker with the components available in the Mobiliar B2C framework and also to test certain functionalities.
The features
Recording damage or value-reducing defects on the vehicle
There are four main areas which include the exterior, interior, test drives and documents.
The four main areas are then already covered with possible defects
It's possible to add defects that have not yet been defined
Damage or defects can be enriched with photos and text
Damage and defects are classified by experts and the risk or cost of repair is roughly estimated.
- At the end, the user can create a list of defects and have it sent to him by e-mail as a PDF file.
The project was conceived, designed and implemented together with PM Mobilität, the Hanuman implementation team and Mobiliar's user experience team.
In the first two weeks, Car Check already recorded over 300 visitors, over 60 lists of defects were completed and over 25 lists of defects were sent as PDFs.
